“Lessons from WW2 - The Fall of Singapore” covers in great detail all the major sites relating to the Defence and Fall of Singapore during the WW2, drawing important lessons for Singapore today. We will also look at the personalities, tactics, planning and heroic actions that shaped this traumatic period in Singapore’s history. Areas covered – Sarimbun landing site, Former Ford Factory, Labrador Park, Woodlands Waterfront Park, Civilian Memorial, Reflections at Bukit Chandu, Changi Chapel/Museum, Selarang Barracks, Johore Battery, Changi Beach Film Clips – The Malayan Campaign, Battle for Pasir Panjang Ridge, Changi’s POWs Specific Learning Points • The imperative to defend Singapore ourself • SAF State of Preparedness • Total Defence – Different facets of defending Singapore • Every Singaporean has a role to play
